November 5, 2010
Kent State lost 28-10 against Temple today at Dix Stadium.
The Flashes got on the scoreboard early with a 32-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Freddy Cortez in the first quarter. For the next three quarters, the game would belong to Temple. The Owls scored twice in the second half to lead Kent State 14-3 at halftime.
Temple added to its lead early in the third quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run by sophomore running back Bernard Pierce.
Kent State narrowed the gap with a touchdown off a blocked punt in the fourth quarter, but the effort was too late for the Flashes, who fall to 4-5 and 3-3 in the Mid-American Conference.
