8-year-old Kent girl fights off would-be abductor

An 8-year-old girl was nearly abducted Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Anita Drive and Simon Lane in Kent.
The girl was approached by an unidentified male who grabbed her by the arm,
according to a Kent Police Department news release.
The girl bit and kicked the man, which caused him to release his grasp on her. She then ran home and told her mother. The police were notified an hour later of the attempted abduction.
The suspect is a white male with dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. He was wearing a dark shirt and tan pants.
