Strickland’s Kent visit called off; show goes on

Gov. Ted Strickland will not be coming to Kent State, after all.

According to the Kent State College Democrats, a scheduling conflict will prevent Strickland from making his Monday appearance on the main campus.

Instead, they said, the event will feature the Democratic Secretary of State candidate Maryellen O’Shaughnessy, Ohio Supreme Court Justice candidate Mary Jane Trapp and the Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Yvette McGee Brown.

The rally will start in the Kiva around 10:15 a.m. and include a question-and-answer session with the audience. It’s open to anyone.
