Helping to promote women’s health, the all-female musical, “Menopause: The Musical,” will make its run Sept. 18 and 19 at the Akron Civic Theatre.

Since September 2001, Jeanie C. Linders’s comedy has entertained audiences in over 250 American cities and 15 international countries. The 90-minute production parodies symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes and mood swings, and the way women react to them throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, while educating about the condition.

The show plays 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices begin at $29.50.
