Kent’s 17th Annual 2010 Art the Park took place this weekend. The Kent Parks and Recreation Department held the event in the Fred Fuller Park located on Middlebury Road. Nine-year-old Morgan Laing participates in a Chanoyu- Japenese Tea Ceremony. The ceremony isn’t about the drinking of the green tea, but is to appreciate the simplicities of life. This was Laing’s first time in a tea-making ceremony. “I was very nervous my first time,” she said. “My mom and dad were both watching me and I can’t wait to do it again.”
