The Kent Police Department had made no arrests as of Monday evening in relation to this weekend’s robbery.

Lt. Jayme Cole said police had not reviewed the case and planned to have an update today.

An armed male approached Kent State students Gregory S. Kline, of Allison Park, Penn., and Kathryn M. Bruder, of Kent, at 2:30 a.m. near Lake and Harvey streets. Both students are in their early twenties, according to police.

The suspect, a 5-foot-3 black male wearing a white hoodie and jeans, demanded their money and cell phones.

The stolen items included an AT&T iPhone, an undisclosed amount of cash and a credit card.
