Kent Masterpieces on Main Art and Wine Festival will grace the streets of downtown for a second time this summer because of heavy rain during its original date in June.

The rescheduled and cleverly renamed Art and Wine REWIND will bring seven wineries and four musical acts back to N. Water Street between Columbus and Main streets. All 54 artists and the local food vendors who braved the storms over a month ago were also invited to return.

The event will begin at noon Saturday and run until 10 p.m. Patrons can indulge for $10, which will cover five samples and a commemorative glass.

Local wineries offering a taste of their fare include Candlelight Winery, LaPorte Winery, Myrddin Winery, The Winery at Wolf Creek, Troutman Vineyards and Viking Vineyards & Winery. It’s Your Winery was also recently added to the original list, according to the festival’s Facebook page.

The performers will take the stage at 2 p.m. at Home Savings Bank Plaza, featuring Brad and Peggy, Steve Vanderlink, Bluestones and Mahajibee Blues.

The event is hosted by Main Street Kent, a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing the downtown area. This year’s sponsors include The Burbick Foundation, McKay Bricker Framing and Home Savings Bank.
