Assault suspect to make court appearance today

Kent State student Jordan T. Hall, 19, of Shaker Heights will have a preliminary hearing at 9:15 a.m. today in Judge Kevin Poland’s courtroom at the Kent branch of the Portage County Municipal Court for allegedly assaulting two other students early morning March 12.

Hall was arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault, both second- degree felonies, according to the criminal case report filed by the Kent Police Department.

Hall allegedly assaulted Max E. Druiz and Ryan A. Pilz at 216 E. Main St., according to court records.

The address belongs to the house of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.

Druiz is a freshman biotechnology major, and Pilz is a junior theater studies major, according to the university student directory. Hall is listed as a freshman exploratory major.
