KSU draws WCU in BracketBusters

The Kent State men’s basketball team will host Western Carolina in its eighth annual ESPN BracketBusters game, ESPNU announced yesterday.

ESPNU will broadcast the game, which will take place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the M.A.C. Center.

The Flashes are 5-2 all time in BracketBusters games, most recently defeating Morehead State 79-76 last year. In the 2008 BracketBusters game, Kent State topped then No. 20 Saint Mary’s, 65-57.

Western Carolina is 17-5 overall and is currently tied for first in the Southern Conference. This will be Western Carolina’s first BracketBusters appearance.

Last season, the Catamounts beat the Flashes in overtime at the M.A.C. Center, 89-84.
