South Lincoln Street was blocked off between East Main Street and East College Avenue for 45 minutes at 8:41 a.m. Friday because of a minor accident where a car hit a telephone pole and flipped over.

The driver, a female Kent State student, was uninjured, except for some bruises on her arm. She chose not to go to the hospital.

Officer Mike Fleming of the Kent City Police handled the crash. He said the student had been drinking water out of a cup, wasn’t paying attention and went off the road.
