Second robbery this weekend involving students

Two Kent State students reported being robbed and assaulted on campus early Sunday morning, according to a FlashLine message.

Kent State University Police are investigating the strong-arm robbery and assault that occurred at 3:17 a.m. north of the Art Building in the Commons area. The victims were treated for minor injuries.

According to the campus alert, the four suspects are described as black males about 6′ tall with athletic builds, wearing jeans and tennis shoes. The victims gave the following descriptions:

– The first suspect has facial hair and was wearing a black thermal shirt.

– The second suspect was wearing a grey skullcap and had a white track jacket with a star on the left side that was possibly red.

– The third suspect was wearing a white T-shirt.

– The fourth subject was wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt.

Kent State University Policy are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact them at 330-672-3070.

This is the second robbery this weekend involving Kent State students. The first occurred early Saturday morning in the Silver Oaks Apartments parking lot, adjacent to campus off of Loop Road. Two students reported being robbed at gunpoint by three suspects driving a grey four-door Ford Contour.
