Women’s Golf Travels to Tennessee Championship

The Kent State women’s golf team travels to Knoxville, Tenn. this weekend to compete in the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championship.

The tournament will be played at the par-72 Fox Den Country Club course.

Kent State will compete against solid nationally ranked teams like No. 8 Louisiana State, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 10 Florida, No. 32 Chattanooga, host No. 22 Tennessee, No. 23 Wake Forest and No. 19 Tulane.

After a 17th place finish last weekend at the Tar Heel Invitational, juniors Sarah Bradley, Martina Gavier and McKenzie Jackson will attempt to lead the flashes to victory, along with sophomores Mercedes Germino, Shamira Marshall and Mandi Morrow.

The tournament will tee off at 9:45 a.m. today and will continue until Sunday.
