The Kent State field hockey team beat Central Michigan 2-1 today, improving the team’s Mid-American Conference record to 2-0.

One goal apiece from senior midfielder Allison Kittelberger and sophomore forward Debbie Bell was all Kent State needed to beat the Chippewas.

Bell’s goal was her MAC leading 12th goal of the season.

Central Michigan senior forward Kelly Jordan broke up Kent State junior goalie Caroline Suitch’s shutout attempt with a late goal.

The Flashes compete next against Ohio Sunday at Murphy-Mellis Field.
