Men’s cross country wins third straight meet

The Kent State men’s cross country team finished first for the third consecutive meet, while the women’s team finished second in The Ohio Invitational.

Despite heavy rain the men were able to complete their race. The women’s competition was cut short due to the weather.

The men dominated with six runners in the top ten, including the first four positions. The women finished with five in the top ten positions.

Kent State junior John Minen was the

individual champion for the men with a time of 25:31.53. Maura Bulgrin of Dayton won the individual race for the women with 10:36.

Kent State junior Alex Lizarribar placed second, finishing three seconds behind Bulgrin.

The Flashes’ next race is the Penn State National Invitational Oct. 16.
