Swine flu has not been found at Kent State.

Mary Reeves, director of University Health Services confirmed this morning there were currently no cases of the H1N1 virus on campus or in Portage County.

“We have posted this info to the flu site – www.kent.edu/flu – to keep people up to date with the latest updates and flu information,” said Emily Vincent, director of University Media Relations in an e-mail interview.

Rumors started yesterday evening that the first case of the H1N1 virus had been found in Eastway Hall and resulted in calls being made to the university.

Kent State has been working to prevent potential spread of the virus by keeping students informed about how to prevent obtaining the virus and what to do in case of an outbreak.
