As part of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center’s 10th anniversary “Circus Extravaganza,” students have 10 chances to win prizes in Big-Top Bingo at 8 p.m. tonight.

“It’s kind of the last hurrah before break or graduation,” marketing director Jason Hawk said. “Make it a memory.”

Big-Top Bingo is only open to current Kent State students. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the first 325 students will get spots in the contest. FlashCards are required to participate.

Prizes donated by sponsors increase in value with each round. Students can win a $100 Campus Book & Supply gift card, a $125 Giant Eagle GetGo gift card, free Chipotle every week for a semester (rounds three and four), an iPod touch, a Nintendo Wii, a 22-inch Sylvania TV, free Little Caesar’s pizza every day for a year, free Campus Pointe rent for a year and a 2010 Mazda 3.

“Vendors saw it as a valuable way to reach the student audience,” Hawk said.

Hawk encouraged students to arrive early because he expects a line to form.

“It’s something to do – something different, and it’ll be fun,” special events assistant Kylan Ward said.
