Sheriff David Doak issued a Level I snow emergency for Portage county today. Roadways are icy and hazardous with blowing and drifting snow.

Parking on city streets in Kent and residential streets in Ravenna is banned until Thursday to allow for snow removal. Vehicles still on the street can be ticketed or towed. The ban started at 8 p.m. last night for Kent and 7 p.m. for Ravenna.
