Helpline training volunteer applications for Townhall II, 155 N. Water St., are due by 8 p.m. today.

Helpline volunteers speak to people struggling with suicidal thoughts, depression, domestic violence, child abuse, addiction, grief and loss.

Because of the nature of the phone calls, training coordinator Christa Veltri said applicants must be caring, compassionate and understanding individuals.

Veltri said students can contact her either at ch[email protected] or 330-678-3006, to request an application.
