High winds leave most of Kent without power

High wind warning in effect until 2:00 a.m. tomorrow
The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning at 7:50 pm. that will last until 2 a.m. tomorrow. Stay indoors, and close all windows immediately.
South Lincoln Street is closed between Bowman and Relim Drives due to a tree down across the road.
The weather system associated with the remnants of Hurricane Ike is sweeping through Kent this evening. Multiple power outages, trees fallen on power lines and homes and transformer fires have been reported. At this time, no buildings on the Kent campus have lost power.
