For presidential hopeful John McCain, all roads don’t lead to Rome, they lead to Ohio, considered to be a key to winning the election this November.

The Arizona senator, who arrived via his “Straight Talk Air” last night at Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport around 9:30 pm, will try to strengthen-or at least stabilize- his estimated four-point edge over Sen. Barak Obama (D-Ill.) in the state.

Expect McCain to talk mostly about the economy to his blue-collar crowds in a trip around the state tody. Yesterday in Pennsylvania, he urged the government to exercise caution in implementing its $700 billion bailout of crumbling financial institutions, most notably insurer AIG. The recent economic inferno swallowing up Fortune 500 companies along Wall Street ignited oil prices. Crude jumped more than $16/barrel yesterday, a one-day record.
