Applications for award to recognize student, faculty volunteers due after spring break
March 13, 2008
Students, faculty and community partners have until March 24 to apply for 11 volunteerism awards.
The awards will be presented at the Making a Difference: Recognizing Kent Staters Who Care ceremony April 21 at the Student Center.
The purpose of the awards is to recognize students, student organizations, faculty and community partners for their volunteer work, said Megan Odell-Scott, an organizer for the event.
“There’s no way to measure (volunteering), so this is a good way to learn about what the students, faculty and staff are doing out there (in the community),” she said.
Those interested can pick up forms in Room 250 in the Student Center.
The ceremony is sponsored by the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs in collaboration with the Faculty Professional Development Center and the Office of the Provost.
