After one of the most successful seasons in school history, Kent State coach Jim Christian was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year today by the MAC News Media Association.

Christian led the Flashes to a school record 25 wins this season and a Mid-American Conference regular season championship. The Flashes also spent one week in the Top 25 after a win over St. Mary’s Feb. 25.

This is the second time in three years Christian has won the award.

The Flashes will take on the winner of Wednesday night’s game between Toledo and Bowling Green in the second round of the MAC Tournament.
