Visiting international scholars to speak on culture, history tomorrow during feast

Eighteen visiting scholars from eight different countries will speak tomorrow in a moving feast around campus.

All the presenters will speak about their countries’ education, culture and history. Speakers from Egypt, India and Malaysia will present at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in Room 319 of the Student Center.

Scholars from Morocco and Bangladesh will speak at 1:30 p.m. in the library of the Office of International Affairs located in Van Campen Hall. Cultural dialogues about Indonesia, Jordan and Lebanon will end the day at 3 p.m. in Room 200 in White Hall. Food will be available at each speaking engagement.

“This is an opportunity for the visiting scholars to share their culture with students at Kent State University,” said Linda Robertson, director of the Center for International and Intercultural Education and sponsor of the event.
