Sophomore guard Chris Singletary leads the Flashes with eight points, and senior forward Haminn Quaintance has six points and five rebounds. For the Zips, senior forward Jeremiah Wood has 11 points. Akron senior guard Nick Dials hit a 3-pointer to end the half and has nine points. So far, Akron is shooting 53 percent from behind the line.
