Five Flashes named to All-Mid-American Conference teams

Five Kent State football players were selected to the 2007 All-Mid American Conference teams announced Tuesday.

Senior defensive lineman Colin Ferrell and sophomore running back Eugene Jarvis were named to the All-MAC first team. Ferrell had the fifth most tackles for a loss in the conference with 16. He finished with a total of 56 tackles and five sacks.

Jarvis finished the season with a Kent State record 1,669 rushing yards and a team-high 13 touchdowns. His 139.1 yard average per game was the highest in the MAC and fifth in the country.

Senior defensive back Jack Williams and junior offensive lineman Augustus Parrish were named to the all-MAC second team, while junior linebacker Derek Burrell was selected to the All-MAC third team.

The players were voted on the team by the 13 head coaches in the conference.
