Adam Pertman, executive director of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, will speak from 1 to 3:30 p.m tomorrow in the Kiva.

His lecture, titled “Adoption in the Schools: A Lot to Learn,” is free and open to the public.

Linda Neiheiser, Kent State alumna and assistant professor, established the annual lecture series on adoption. Her goal is to promote further learning and discussion about adoption and foster care issues in educational settings.

“Our speaker’s presentation … will cover a variety of issues related to adoption and foster care and the need for all school personnel to become more knowledgeable about these issues,” Neiheiser said.

Pertman is also a journalist and the author of “Adoption Nation: How the Adoption Revolution is Transforming America,” which has been reviewed as “the most important book ever written on the subject.”
