Tim Robbins speaks at Stark Campus

Tim Robbins will kick off the Featured Speaker Series at the Stark campus Monday with his speech, “Building a More Perfect Union.”

Robbins – an actor, director, writer and producer – has been involved in the film industry for a number of years. He has performed in films including Mystic River, The Shawshank Redemption and The Player. For his acting, Robbins has won an Oscar and Golden Globe.

Also a well-known political activist, Robbins is a longtime member of the Green Party, a prominent spokesperson for anti-globalization and a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq.

The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Tickets to the event are required and will be are available the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Kent Stark Main Hall Information Office. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
