Stark campus is hosting a week-long tribute to the 37th anniversary of the May 4 shootings at Kent State.

The tribute began on Monday with a display of books and historical artifacts in the main lobby of the library.

Tomorrow it will continue with a showing of the documentary The Day the War Came Home in the Fine Arts building from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The film includes news footage, interviews and insight into the events surrounding May 4, 1970.

On Friday, students and community members are invited to participate in 10 minutes of silence at 11:50 a.m. on the university’s plaza to remember those who died and were injured in the shootings.

After the moment of silence, The Day the War Came Home will be shown again from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. A discussion will take place after the film.
