Carrie Gavriloff, Kent Ward 2 councilwoman, is excited for the upcoming November elections.

After yesterday’s primary, Gavriloff is still confident that she will be re-elected in November.

“I’m looking forward to November,” Gavriloff said. “I will continue to do what I’ve been doing. Just ask my constituents.”

Gavriloff, 33, will run as an independent for her second term on council.

“I will continue to make myself available. I will continue to hold quarterly neighborhood meetings and serve my residents,” she said.

Gavriloff faces Jack Amrhein, a social studies teacher at Theodore Roosevelt High School, who ran unopposed as a Democrat yesterday. Amrhein was unavailable for comment.
