Cheers & Jeers

CHEERS

… to the Kent State graduating class of 2007. You made it.

… to Kent State for installing more unisex bathrooms on campus to accommodate transgender students.

… to engineers at NeuroSky Inc., who are creating brain wave-reading toys and video games in an effort to create games that help kids with ADD improve mental focus. One such toy includes a Darth Vader mask with a sensor on the user’s forehead and sends the brain’s electrical signals to a wireless receiver inside the saber. The saber then lights up when the user is concentrating.

JEERS

… to the 34 MBA students at Duke University who are facing large penalties after being caught collaborating answers on an exam.

… to Kent State for spending a “modest” $52,000 on a four hour event to inaugurate President Lester Lefton.
