Not softball weather, team 0-0 in April

The Kent State softball team has yet to play a game in April.

It’s not because the Flashes haven’t had any games scheduled, but because Mother Nature has had other plans.

Last weekend’s matchups against Central and Eastern Michigan were cancelled because of snow. Makeup dates have not been scheduled, unlike the home opener against Cleveland State. The Vikings and Flashes were supposed to play last Wednesday, but the game was postponed until April 18.

The Flashes will be back on the road later this week for their first game of the month, if weather permits. They will face Penn State in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Wednesday at State College, Pa.
