Pregnancy Solutions protest to be held
April 23, 2007
A protest against the presence of the Pregnancy Solutions and Services RV on campus will be held from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. today in front of the Kiva.
Katie Troha, sophomore applied conflict management major and member of the Feminist Union and Pro-Choice Kent State, is organizing the protest.
She said the RV provides free ultrasounds and pregnancy tests to women but gives women inaccurate information about abortions, such as the claim that abortions can make women more likely to get breast cancer.
“I’d just like to let people know they’re not telling the truth,” Troha said. “They’re not here to help women. They’re here to try to make a decision for us.”
