Trustee applications due soon

Time is running out for graduate students who plan on applying for the student trustee position.

The application deadline is tomorrow and Enrollment Management and Student Affairs has yet to receive a single application.

“We have four nominations,” said Dean of Students Greg Jarvie. “But of those four, no one has applied.”

This position is a non-voting position that sits on the board of trustees and participates in the board’s meetings and other board-related events.

The applicant should be available for a two-year term. The other requirements are that the student must have a 3.0 GPA, be a resident of the state of Ohio and a registered voter, and be enrolled in at least six credit hours at Kent State.

“This is a great opportunity for students that will not only pay off now, but in their future as well,” Jarvie said.

Interested students should turn in their applications to the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs office on the second floor of the Student Center by tomorrow.
