Whitehall East Townhomes great for multiple residents

The unusual thing about Whitehall East Townhomes, manager Debbie Davis said, is they are fully stocked with appliances.

Upon moving in, tenants have immediate access to a garbage disposal, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer and oven.

“We’re unusual in that respect,” she said.

Whitehall East Townhomes have five bedrooms and three bathrooms in each townhome and are located on Summit Street with a campus bus stop across the street.

“It’s convenient because it’s so close to campus,” said Megan Anderson, junior nursing major and townhomes resident.

Davis said rent averages $270 a month per tenant, and leases are for one year. Utilities are separate, but Anderson said when splitting the cost between five people, they are not very expensive.

Nicole Fiest, junior nursing major and resident of Whitehall East, said the townhomes were the cheapest and nicest complexes she and her roommates looked at when searching for a place to live.

“I love it,” she said. “I’ve been here for two years, and I’m living there next year, too.”

The advantage of townhomes, as opposed to apartments, is they are bigger, more spacious and tenants do not have other parties living above them, Davis said.

She said there are enough parking spaces available for all tenants without having assigned parking spaces. Visitors are, however, required to obtain a visitors tag for their cars.

Davis said management is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any problems or consultation.

“Every time we have a problem, we can call the landlord and they’re really good about fixing things,” Anderson said.

Whitehall East has 36 townhomes available for student rental. For more information, call Alliance Property Management at (330) 990-4019.
