Circle K to host Mardi Gras Ball

Glitz. Glamour. Music. Food.

No this isn’t an Oscars afterparty; it’s a Mardi Gras ball hosted by Circle K.

The dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday in Room 204 of the Student Center.

Tickets are being sold for $5 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily until Friday on the second floor of the Student Center. Tickets will also be available at the dance.

Proceeds will go toward the Biloxi alternative spring break program.

The semi-formal dance will have free food and beads along with live music. Masks will be sold for $2.

“The dance is really about a greater cause,” said dance chairman Tricia Ocampo, freshman medical technology major.

Circle K is a collegiate service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. The organization is committed to worldwide community service. Co-sponsors for the event are the Undergraduate Student Senate and the Commuter and Off-Campus Student Organization.
