Nikole Keslar, senator for university affairs candidate, announced her withdrawal from the 2007 Undergraduate Student Senate election yesterday.

“I decided to for personal family reasons,” she said.

Keslar said because of overwhelming circumstances, she decided it was in the best interests of herself and the future USS to step down before the election.

Keslar was running on the Improve Our University ticket with eight other candidates.

With Keslar’s candidacy withdrawal, there are now 15 candidates running for the nine USS positions. Keslar’s opponent in the election was Jonithon LaCross.
