January 31, 2007
Former director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Walter Reich will speak on “Terrorism and its Discontents: The Tyranny of ‘Root Causes'” at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Rockwell Hall Auditorium.
The department of Jewish studies has an ongoing speaker series on campus to expose the on- and off-campus community to recent developments in Jewish studies affairs, said Richard Steigmann-Gall, director of Kent State’s Jewish studies program.
“We chose Reich because he is an expert on a variety of issues which are central concerns for any Jewish studies program,” Steigmann-Gall said.
He said attendees can expect a lively and insightful discussion of the root causes of terrorism today.
The event is free and open to the public.
