KASA aims to bridge gaps with forum between Africans and African Americans

The Kent African Student Association is holding an open forum between Africans and African Americans during its mass meeting at 8 p.m. tonight in Room 107A in Oscar Ritchie Hall. The forum will start at about 8:30 p.m.

“(The purpose of the forum is) just to open talk between Africans and African Americans because there are a lot of struggles and ignorance in our cultures that keep us apart,” KASA Vice President Ify Amu said.

Amu said everyone is invited to participate in the discussion, and the forum will serve to bridge the gap between Africans and African Americans.

“We want everybody to speak, if possible, if they have something to say,” she said.
