The worst case scenario

Every college student knows that finals are a stressful time. Most students study, go take their exams and the stress is over.

Others aren’t so lucky.

Sometimes problems pop up suddenly, distracting students’ already strained minds.

“I lost my job and my girlfriend on the first day of finals last year,” said Taylor Gillespie, sophomore computer science major. “It definitely affected my performance in a negative way.”

Jessica Smith, senior integrated health studies major, missed her exam all together.

“I was sitting in my dorm room studying for my Dance as an Art Form exam, and then all of the sudden I noticed the time on the paper,” she said. “The exam was at 10:30 a.m., and it was 11:15 a.m.! I ran to the classroom and no one was there.”
