As you’re reading this, chances are you’re probably sitting around, eating or just relaxing for a few minutes before class, praying there will be something to do this weekend. That’s why we’re here.
When it came to movies this summer, it was a bland one. With hopes of a better fall season, we’ll try to steer you in the right direction when it comes to new fall releases, in not only movies, but also music, restaurants, festivals and pretty much anything that will hold your attention for longer than 15 minutes.
Don’t agree with what we think of a new release? Tell us by commenting online.
We always look for feedback, and now we allow you to voice your opinion online at the Stater Web site. Just please refrain from “OMG, like, you suck so bad! That movie was the hotness!” We ask for constructive criticism from you, not condescending gibberish.
From local concerts to big movie releases, we will preview, review, interview and focus on many different things with hopes of catching your interest as you await your next dreadful class or want to lose yourself for awhile in the world of entertainment.
This week you can check out reviews of the latest Outkast movie/CD, Idlewild, as well as see the ALL staff’s thoughts on what stood out to them in the realm of entertainment during the summer break in the “Best of Summer” article.
In the upcoming weeks, we also want to help those who are not aware of all the concert venues in Kent to become better acquainted with our preview of all the music clubs around the area. We’ll also look at the fall television schedule and, in October, we’ll cover haunted houses. But that only scratches the surface when it comes to stories that we’ll be running.
After all (no pun intended), no one likes to be bored on the weekends – especially in Kent – so if we can inform you on what’s good and entertaining, then we’re doing our job. We understand that reality is tough enough as it is, and we want to show you good ways to escape it for at least a short while.
