Bice has recently co-released “Tropical Groove,” a total body workout DVD filmed to steel drum music. Created in collaboration with Christel Best, the owner of Clackson Fitness, the video is the first of its kind.

Not only is Bice a professional musician, she is also the co-owner and director of marketing and public relations for North America’s largest steel pan drum manufacturing company and president of the International Association of Pan Enthusiasts.

Panyard, Inc., the company co-owned by Bice and President and CEO Ron Kerns, is located in Akron. It is considered one of the highest quality manufacturers of steel drums, with employees spending 120 to 180 hours to craft each instrument.

Bice, a graduate of the University of Akron, has played the steel drums for 19 years and has been a member of the Panyard team for two years.

“What I love most about the music is that it appeals to all ages,” Bice said.
