Women’s march to take place today

A march on the behalf of the women’s studies program will take place throughout various academic buildings on campus tomorrow afternoon.

The march begins at 4 p.m. in front of the Student Center and will last until 5 p.m. sophomore photo illustration major Carrie Wicks said. Wicks, who helped plan the event, is also the president of the Feminist Union.

“The march is designed to grab people’s attention about the lack of a women’s studies major on this campus,” Wicks said.

The march will be preceded by a teaser at 3 p.m. in the Music Listening Center located on the second floor of the Student Center. Folk artist Deidre McCalla, who has a concert at 8:30 p.m. in the Kiva, will attend the teaser.
