Kent State student Jason Sedney, 21, died Tuesday evening at The Cleveland Clinic after suffering complications from diabetes.

Sedney, junior electronic media production major, graduated from West Geauga High School in 2003. He worked part-time at the CD/Game Exchange in Kent.

He is survived by his parents John and Mary, brother Dan, sister Heather and her husband Mike, as well as grandparents and other family. The family would appreciate contributions in memory of Jason to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home in Chesterland. Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Anselm Catholic Church.
