C-SPAN bus to visit campus today to promote its educational resources

A mobile TV production studio will roll into Kent State today.
The C-SPAN School Bus will be visiting the College of Education, Health and Human Services at the White Hall parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. The visit is sponsored by Time Warner Cable.
According to a press release, the bus is visiting campus to promote C-SPAN as an educational resource for teachers and students. Teachers will also be introduced to C-SPAN Classroom, which is a free service that provides educators with video archives and other learning tools.
Debbie Barber, assistant dean of the College of EHHS, said in an e-mail that the bus’ trip to Kent State will mark its first visit to a university. According to a press release, the bus is on its 12th nationwide tour since 1993.
The bus is open to the public, and its state-of-the-art capabilities can be demonstrated to anyone who is interested, Barber said.
