Students from the Kent State chapter of American Society of Interior Design participated in the Walk for Diabetes Sunday in Hudson Springs Park.

ASID has been participating in the event in memory of Kim Fegan since 1997, said Jen Baker, public relations head of ASID. Fegan, a former interior design student, died the summer before her senior year due to complications from diabetes.

Seventeen people walked with Team KSUASID and joined hundreds of others to raise money that goes towards research to find a cure for diabetes, Baker said.
