Cutley leaving basketball team

The Daily Kent Stater has confirmed sophomore forward Scott Cutley will be transferring schools upon his release from the men’s basketball program.

Cutley, a native of Torrance, Calif., expressed an interest in returning to the West Coast.

Cutley is the fourth player with eligibility remaining to leave the program since the Flashes’ season-ending overtime loss to Western Kentucky Mar. 16. Sophomore forward Mechie Johnson, guard Marcus Crenshaw and seldom-used Darius Davis have all left the program within the last month.

Cutley started 32 of 33 games this past season and averaged 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
