The men’s golf team heads to Westerville for the MAC championships today.

The tournament runs through Saturday. Eighteen holes are scheduled for today and Saturday with 36 planned for Friday. Last year the team finished third in the tournament after earning first place in the tournament’s first day. Peter Laws leads the Flashes with a 72.81 scoring average in nine tournaments this year.

Kent State hasn’t played since the Aggie Invitational where it finished eighth out of 13 teams April 17. The Flashes’ last tournament, the Keppler Intercollegiate, was canceled due to inclement weather.
