Stephen Kuusisto, a blind poet and spokesperson for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind, will be giving a poetry reading at 7:30 p.m. in room 306 of the Student Center.

The event is sponsored by the Wick Poetry Series and the Center for Disability Studies.

Kuusisto is author of Only Bread, Only Light, a book of poems and Planet of the Blind, his best-selling memoir named a Notable Book of the Year in 1998 by The New York Times.

He teaches poetry, creative nonfiction and disability studies at The Ohio State University. Kuusisto is also a commentator on National Public Radio.

The event is free and open to the public.
