A Note From the Editor

A letter from the editor

The Kent Stater and the features staff are pleased to bring you the third annual Best of Kent Awards. With new additions and old favorites, our list provides a fair representation of the businesses that make up our home in Kent.

Black squirrels, quaint shops and friendly townies are just a few reasons why so many of us have fallen in love with Kent’s charm. With classics, like Ray’s Place and Wild Goats Cafe, and new kids on the block, like Twisted Meltz and Rise and Shine, there’s a reason just as many newcomers and alumni of the university find there way to our Northeast Ohio town.

This is your chance to tell us what you love most about the City of Kent. We want to know what you tell the folks back home, like who you’re listening to, where you’re going and where you’ve been. It’s also a fun way to track the transformations of the evolving town, year by year.

This issue is loaded with your favorites. It’s a KSUBuzz feature for you, by you. I hope you have as much fun reading this as we had putting it together.
