The Portage County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning about increased overdose deaths on March 31. Officials said the increase is largely due to the increased use of fentanyl, a highly addictive and inexpensive drug. The drug is often odorless and colorless, making it easier to be mistaken for other medications.

TV2’s Erin Sullivan spoke with the Kent Police Department and others to learn how this issue could impact residents of Portage County.
